Session details: Complaints are rising. Legislative reform is accelerating. And the National Anti-Corruption Commission has just completed its third year of operations, with 35 active investigations and 11 convictions to its name.

In this session, Daniel Maroske and Anna Fanelli of Gadens take you on a tour of Australia’s corruption landscape from the CCC’s recent Corruption Perceptions Survey (and what 10,000 respondents really think about integrity in the public sector) to the Parliamentary Inquiry now examining whether Queensland’s councillor conduct system is fit for purpose.

Along the way, they’ll unpack the investigations making headlines across Australian jurisdictions, explore emerging risks that should be on every practitioner’s radar, including AI, procurement vulnerabilities, and the challenges of digital records,  and offer practical strategies for staying ahead of the curve.

Whether you’re navigating the shifting regulatory environment, building prevention frameworks, or simply want to know what’s happening beyond your own jurisdiction, this is your chance to get the full picture in one sitting.

Presenters: Daniel Maroske, Partner & Anna Fanelli, Senior Associate | Gadens
